EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.</div>The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found <a href="https://apps01.civilservice.louisiana.gov/onestopjobinfo/DisplayJobSpec.aspx?JobCode=171010" target="_blank">here</a>.Job Duties:Process Complaints and Conducting Investigations: <ul><li>Receives, reviews, and evaluates written and oral complaints from the public filed against Licensees, or from other sources of information (BAD AR Reports, NPDB Repo11s, LSP Anest Reports, US DOJ Press Releases, Public new stories, Malpractice Reports, etc) which indicate a Board licensee may have violated a State/Federal law and/or the Boards Rules and Regulations. </li><li>Researches a variety of internal and external records, to include State and Federal Laws and Board Regulations related to specific investigative case issues. Develop investigative plans for each case which may include preparing written communications; obtaining and reviewing complex medical records; reviewing malpractice or criminal legal documentation; interviewing licensees, complainants, or other pailies; and preparing detailed reports of investigative findings. Routinely collaborate investigative effo1is with the Director of Investigations, other Board staff, licensees, and outside legal counsels. </li><li>Prepare Investigative finding for monthly Board meetings as necessary and testifying at Board meeting/hearings as requested.</li></ul>Additional specific areas of responsibilities:   <ul><li>Receive complaint filings, initiate processing and opening of investigations in computer, and prepare investigative file.   </li><li>Responsible for Long-term monitoring matters, to include scheduled running of prescription monitoring program searches for violations.  </li></ul>Position-Specific Details:Appointment Type: Probational - up to 24 months Career Progression: This position does participate in a Career Progression Group, it may be filled as a Compliance Investigator 1,2, or 3.
