The Assessment Specialist will plan and conduct community-based assessments and Personal Work Adjustment Training (PWAT) services for individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment within Goodwill and the community. This position will report data and communicate the results and recommendations to individuals and their service team.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Review PWAT referrals to determine program eligibility
- Conduct on-site visits to monitor progress and ensure completion of service exit survey
- Assist individuals receiving services in understanding their assessment recommendations through review of the individual’s abilities, strengths, aptitudes, barriers, and the necessary education and aptitude to reach their vocational goals
- Identify potential accommodations and assistive technology and make assessment referrals for assistive technology that include monitoring the individual’s performance to ascertain appropriateness of accommodations and assistive technology
External Hiring Range: $15.75 - $16.70/hour
Travel Required: Yes, local travel is required.
Schedule: Varies based on participants’ needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent AND 2 years of experience required OR
- Associate degree AND No experience. OR
- Bachelor’s degree AND No experience.
Required Experience: must be related to working with individuals with disabilities/disadvantages.
REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel.
- Candidates are expected to provide current valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to first day of employment.
