Service Stream is seeking an experienced Community & Stakeholder Manager to play a key role within our SA Water operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a communications and engagement professional who thrives on connecting people, managing stakeholder relationships, and influencing positive outcomes across a diverse range of internal and external audiences.
In this pivotal leadership role, you'll work closely with SA Water, customers, community groups, and operational teams to ensure engagement strategies are effectively delivered and communication remains clear, timely, and impactful.
What You'll Be Doing
As the Community & Stakeholder Manager, you'll lead the development and execution of customer, stakeholder, community, and employee engagement initiatives across the contract. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing community and stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
- Building trusted relationships with SA Water, customers, local communities, and internal teams.
- Leading communication initiatives that support operational delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Managing stakeholder issues, complaints, and escalations to achieve positive outcomes.
- Driving employee engagement and internal communications activities.
- Supporting media and communication responses in collaboration with SA Water.
- Leading and developing team members while fostering a strong "One Team" culture.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a collaborative and influential professional with a strong background in stakeholder engagement and communications, ideally within infrastructure, utilities, water, or a related industry.
You'll bring:
- 5+ years' experience in community and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong experience managing both internal and external communications.
- A proven ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholder groups.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in conflict resolution, negotiation, and change management.
- A tertiary qualification in Communications or a related discipline.
- A current driver's licence.
