About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Collision Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, functionality, and appearance—safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer repair procedures. You will play a key role in meeting production deadlines while delivering high-quality repairs that ensure customer safety and satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in modern repair techniques, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced collision repair environment.




Key Responsibilities

  • Review repair orders (R/O) to fully understand required repairs before beginning work
  • Inspect parts for accuracy and damage; report discrepancies to the Production Manager
  • Perform complete structural, body, and cosmetic repairs per manufacturer specifications
  • Identify and report additional vehicle damage not listed on the R/O
  • Complete quality control (QC) checklists and ensure vehicles are cleaned prior to moving to the next department
  • Collaborate closely with estimators, repair planners, and the paint department to maintain efficient workflow
  • Perform pre- and post-repair vehicle scanning; document findings in the Business Management System (BMS)
  • Complete calibrations and re-calibrations to ensure safety systems function as designed
  • Operate welding, soldering, frame, and underbody equipment, including required destructive testing
  • Repair dents, straighten structural damage, and refinish surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Remove, replace, and install body components, glass, mechanical, and electrical parts as required
  • Inspect and test-drive repaired vehicles to ensure quality, proper handling, and elimination of wind noise
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
  • Accurately complete work orders, timecards, and repair documentation
  • Maintain awareness of new repair technologies and evolving manufacturer procedures
  • Follow all occupational health and safety regulations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or college automotive body repair diploma
  • Valid Body Technician license
  • 5–7 years of experience as a collision/body shop technician (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proven experience with automotive body and structural repairs
  • Ability to work independently in a busy shop environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, tactful, and customer-focused approach




Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Regular use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
  • Exposure to heat, humidity, dust, and noise
  • Physical stamina, strength, and dexterity required
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors
  • Awareness of and adherence to safety protocols in a hazardous environment
