About the role

As Coach & Pathways Coordinator, you will play a key role in developing competitive tennis pathways across clubs and schools throughout Queensland. Working closely with coaches, clubs, schools and community organisations, you'll help create and grow accessible competition opportunities that support players' progression from coaching programs into competitive play.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the development and growth of competitive pathways across club and school environments, including the Regional Enterprise Program (REP)
  • Supporting coaches, clubs and schools to establish and sustain entry-level competition opportunities for players
  • Planning and delivering coach programs, events, projects and professional development initiatives aligned to Tennis Queensland's strategic objectives
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with coaches, clubs, schools and community stakeholders across Queensland
  • Providing operational, administrative and event delivery support across Coach & Pathways, Competitive Play and Schools programs


About you

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have experience coordinating sport, community, education or participation programs, events or competitions from planning through to delivery
  • Demonstrate strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with coaches, clubs, schools and community stakeholders
  • Be highly organised, with strong administration, reporting and project coordination capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Have a passion for growing participation in sport and creating positive experiences for players, coaches and communities
  • Hold a current valid driver's licence and a current (or be willing to obtain) Working with Children Check and Police Check
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis QLD
