COMPANY INFORMATION

Our client is a well established engineering company servicing various sectors, including: , power generation, defence, Nuclear and marine. Founded over 25 years ago there machining department supplies components to the marine, Nuclear and power generation industries.

POSITION INFORMATION

Due to continued growth we are now actively searching for skilled CNC Turning professionals to join their in-house manufacturing team. Candidates need to be fully apprentice trained CNC Turning professionals with experience setting and operating 2/3 Axis CNC Turning machines with experience on Fanuc controls for long and complex jobs in the Engineering industry. Some offline programming Knowledge or experience would be a distinct advantage to this position as the company uses Cad cam and solid-works for there back office programs.

YOU MUST HAVE/BE THE FOLLOWING

* Have the ability to read technical drawings and programme directly from these drawings is essential

*Other duties include the use of inspection equipment to ensure all components are to the highest possible standard. You must be able to work on large components.

* You must be able to work to tight tolerances
* Working with aluminium, steel, titanium, inconel, waspaloy and other exotic alloys
* Working 3/4 axis machines
* Time served within an engineering company is desired.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

·Has a high precision engineering background and be a time served apprentice trained engineer

·Experience working with medium / small components.

·Previous experience with 2/3 Axis Turning machines.

. Conventional tooling experience

· Fanuc programming and editing experience or equivalent.

. Cad Cam Solid works Experience would be desirable

·Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

· Experience and capability to work to fine tolerances.

· An awareness of LEAN manufacturing would be an advantage.

·Willingness to work overtime if required.
