Job Title: CNC Machinist
Position Type: Contract to Hire

Job Summary:

1 Resource Group is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our production team. You’ll operate and program CNC machines to produce precision turbine parts, following exact specifications and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce turbine components per engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files accurately.
  • Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve processes and product quality.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in aerospace or heavy manufacturing.
  • Steam and or blade turbine experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with CNC operation of CNC milling and turning machines.
  • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining is a plus.
  • 4 or 5 axis experience.
