Job description

Little Falls Health Services is a 32 bed skilled nursing facility.  We are currently in the process of constructing another 32 resident rooms and then will be a 64 bed facility.

Cares for skilled nursing residents under the direction of the nursing staff by performing the following duties

Answers call lights, bells or intercom system promptly to determine the resident’s needs.

Bathe, dress, undress, toilet, groom and perform oral care for residents.

Serves and collects food trays, feeds residents that requiring help and passes nourishment’s.

Transports residents and assists residents to walk using transfer belt.

Turns and repositions bedfast residents alone or with assistance in order to prevent bedsores or contractures, or for comfort.

Changes bed linens, runs errands and directs visitors.

Takes and records temperatures, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, food and fluid intakes and output as directed.

Assembles and uses such equipment as hydraulic lift, Hoyer lift, weight scales and other equipment as needed for resident care.

Sanitizes equipment.
Tidies up rooms, puts resident clothes and linens in their proper places.
Attends inservices regularly.
Documents as required
Reports resident change to wing nurse.
Understands and follows the vulnerable adult and abuse policy and reporting procedure.
Provides privacy for residents during personal cares and when desired by the resident.

EDUCATION AND/OR  EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education; up to one month job related experiences or training; or, equivalent combinations of education and experience. Maintain 12 hours of Continued Education Units (CEU) every
year.
