Job Summary

This individual will be responsible for supporting the planning, design, implementation, configuration and regular testing of business continuity and disaster recovery systems within the Insulet data environment comprised of virtual infrastructure, storage, backup and recovery, and connectivity.  This individual will also be responsible for supporting the maintenance of server and network backup and monitoring systems for alerting on server and network issues within the infrastructure. This position requires working closely with systems and networking teams to manage server and network connectivity and configuration.



This individual will be responsible for supporting the planning, design, implementation, configuration and regular testing of business continuity and disaster recovery systems within the Insulet data environment comprised of virtual infrastructure, storage, backup and recovery, and connectivity.  This individual will also be responsible for supporting the maintenance of server and network backup and monitoring systems for alerting on server and network issues within the infrastructure. This position requires working closely with systems and networking teams to manage server and network connectivity and configuration.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all systems are being properly backed up and restore testing is performed and logged.
• Maintain data backup infrastructure, configuration, and testing.
• Update and maintain DR processes and procedures.
• Maintain necessary documentation on systems and processes for availability.
• Maintain/repair all infrastructure components in concert with the appropriate vendors to provide 100% availability of service.
• Maintain redundancy status for all critical applications and work to verify business continuity of that application.
• Administer full DR/BCP tests for specific applications and the infrastructure.
• Administer DR/BCP tests for customer-facing products and services.
• Complete after-hour testing and verification as required.
• Performs other duties as required.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Experience with data backups and data recovery procedures.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of Windows and Linux servers in a production data center environment.
• Understanding of networking technologies and its impact on servers and service delivery.
• Experience working in medical device or FDA validated environment a plus.
• Experience and understanding of Azure and AWS environments (including cloud networking and IaaS) a plus.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of systems or network administration.
• Experience with maintaining IT infrastructure in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with virtual infrastructure.
• Experience with iSCSI SAN a plus (Pure).
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to understand and communicate with a wide variety of people, especially internal customers.
• Ability to investigate, identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
• Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and activities.

NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements and requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least three (2-3) days per week. #LI-Hybrid
