You'll provide security engineering support for the design, development and deployment of an infrastructure in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud environment. The selected candidate will provide solutions for endpoint security, intrusion detection, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Intrusion Detection in Virtual Private Cloud environments. This individual is responsible for planning, designing and implementing tools, technologies and methods that meet Federal security control requirements. The Cloud Security Engineer provides subject matter expertise throughout the system development lifecycle to ensure that the infrastructure maintains a strong security posture capable of countering current and emerging threats.

This individual will demonstrate core technical capabilities in cloud security and hold industry recognized certifications. This individual will participate in strategic planning and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Bachelor's degree required

10 full-time years of experience providing security engineering, with some exposure supporting federal government customers

4 years of experience deploying security solutions to include at least one of the following: SEIM tools, firewalls, IDSs and endpoint security in a cloud environment

VMWare experience required

Experience deploying security solutions for federal organizations, including expertise with federal frameworks (FISMA, NIST, etc.)

Demonstrated understanding of IT management, administration, applications and system development life cycles within a substantial IT environment

Relevant knowledge of current and emerging technologies
