Support Secure Cloud Operations That Matter

Rackner is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer to help maintain the availability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems.

This position offers hands-on ownership across AWS, Linux, Windows, containers, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation. You will solve operational challenges, support tenant environments, and broaden your cloud and DevSecOps experience rather than being limited to one technical area.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor secure cloud and enterprise environments for availability, performance, and security
  • Resolve Tier 1–3 service requests and escalate complex issues when needed
  • Provision tenant VPCs, roles, permissions, and access
  • Administer Linux and Windows systems, including Active Directory
  • Maintain AWS services, containers, and Kubernetes-based platforms
  • Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Bash, Ansible, YAML, Terraform, or similar tools
  • Support infrastructure as code within DevSecOps and continuous-delivery workflows
  • Troubleshoot network, platform, and system issues
  • Strengthen documentation, operating procedures, and service performance
  • Provide occasional weekend or holiday coverage based on mission needs

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of IT systems administration experience in place of a degree
  • 3+ years supporting the operation and maintenance of secure information systems
  • 3+ years working with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces
  • 3+ years supporting AWS and container technologies
  • 3+ years administering Windows environments and Active Directory
  • 3+ years using Bash, Ansible, YAML, or similar scripting and configuration tools
  • 1+ year working with infrastructure as code and DevSecOps or continuous-delivery environments using tools such as Terraform
  • 1+ year supporting Kubernetes or comparable platform-as-a-service technologies
  • Ability to obtain the required DoD IAT Level II baseline certification, such as Security+, and an applicable AWS certification within 30 days of starting

Why Rackner

At Rackner, you will build and support technology that enables critical defense and public-sector missions.

You will work across more than routine systems administration. This position combines cloud operations, platform support, infrastructure automation, troubleshooting, and security within a modern AWS and DevSecOps environment.

Rackner has delivered more than $30 million in recent federal awards and supports mission-critical work across defense, civilian, and public-sector environments. We are looking for an infrastructure professional who can build on that momentum by strengthening reliability, improving operational processes, and helping secure platforms remain available when they matter most.

Benefits & Professional Growth

  • Competitive compensation
  • Company-supported certifications aligned with current and future program work
  • 401(k) with 100% company match up to 6%
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Fitness and wellness reimbursement
  • Weekly pay schedule
  • Professional development and future growth opportunities

Apply

If you are a cleared cloud, systems, or DevSecOps professional who wants broader ownership across AWS, Linux, infrastructure automation, and Kubernetes, we would like to hear from you.

Rackner is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
