The Role

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with great enthusiasm for the event ticketing industry to join our team in Marousi, Athens. The successful candidate must have a skill pool that enables configuration and administration of More.com servers and network infrastructure. In addition to this, the suitable candidate should also be able to take point in resolving escalated incidents and issues logged by our internal ticketing system.

More specifically, as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer you will:

  • Be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and administration of production IT infrastructure;
  • Design, deploy and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure within Microsoft Azure; including IaaS infrastructure (VMs, Networking firewalls/security), SaaS and PaaS infrastructure (services such as SQL Server databases, Azure Service Fabric services, etc);
  • Be in charge of the maintenance, configuration and administration of networking infrastructure including routing, firewalling and load-balancing;
  • Collaborate with Viva teams, as well as third-party partners, in support of our service level agreements (SLAs);
  • Work with solution engineers and developers to identify business requirements and suggests service improvements and/or new technology directions
  • Create and maintain documentation of systems processes and procedures
  • Assist Operations management in defining procurement budgets for IT and infrastructure projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical degree;
  • Demonstrable previous experience (5+ years) as a System Engineer;
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Azure services; including deployment, resource administration and maintenance;
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Windows server administration;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of SQL Database administration;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of scripting languages (Powershell, Python etc)
  • Working with HTTP web technologies (IIS)
  • Excellent analytical and good problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude;
  • Knowledge of Linux systems administration will be considered a plus;
