Core Responsibilities

Clinical Supervision & Field Instruction

• Provide individual and group clinical supervision to BBS-registered associates, trainees, and clinical interns in accordance with California BBS regulations.
• Serve as Field Instructor Lead, including review and signature of internship learning agreements, evaluations, and required academic documentation.
• Maintain supervision logs and verification records required for licensure.
• Support ethical practice, clinical competency, and professional development of supervisees.

Crisis Intervention, Trauma-Informed Care & Client Onboarding

• Demonstrate confidence and clinical competence in working with trauma-impacted populations and crisis situations.
• Provide real-time clinical consultation and crisis intervention guidance to LCMs, CHWs, and clinical staff.
• Review care plans, comprehensive assessments, and behavioral health documentation for clinical quality, safety, and medical necessity.
• Conduct or oversee behavioral health intakes, diagnostic formulation, and service recommendations.
• Ensure appropriate risk assessment, safety planning, and mandated reporting procedures.

Holistic, Play- and Art-Informed Clinical Practice

• Demonstrate interest in and openness to play-based, art-based, somatic, and holistic approaches to behavioral health care.
• Support integration of creative, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate interventions within treatment planning and supervision.
• Encourage whole-person healing approaches aligned with community-based care values.

Measurement-Based Care & Outcomes Oversight

• Participate in and support measurement-based care practices, including use of standardized assessment and outcome tools.
• Review and monitor clinical outcome data to inform treatment planning and service effectiveness.
• Guide staff in integrating data-informed decision making into care delivery.
• Contribute to quality improvement and reporting aligned with CalAIM and Medi-Cal expectations.

Multidisciplinary Care Leadership

• Facilitate client care meetings for complex or high-acuity cases.
• Ensure integration of behavioral health treatment within ECM, Community Supports, and whole-person care planning.
• Coordinate escalation pathways with external providers, schools, hospitals, and community partners.

Direct Clinical Service

• Maintain a limited caseload of approximately 10–15 client care hours per week.
• Prioritize clinical complexity, continuity of care, and supervision alignment rather than service volume.
• Adjust caseload as needed to preserve supervisory and oversight responsibilities.

Program Quality & Team Collaboration

• Promote adherence to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based practices.
• Participate in chart audits, utilization review, and quality improvement activities.
• Serve as a clinical mentor and resource across the interdisciplinary team.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted California LCSW license in good standing.
• Authorized and eligible to provide clinical supervision under California BBS regulations.
• Confident clinical experience supporting trauma-impacted populations and crisis intervention.
• Demonstrated interest in holistic, play-based, art-informed, or somatic approaches to care.
• Commitment to measurement-based care and data-informed clinical practice.
• Eligible to become paneled with The Therapeutic Play Foundation (TPF) and Innovative Wellness Consulting (IWC).
• Minimum three (3) years post-licensure clinical experience in behavioral health or community-based settings.
• Prior supervision experience with associates, trainees, or interns.
• Knowledge of CalAIM, Medi-Cal documentation standards, crisis response, and trauma-informed care.

Work Schedule & Environment

• Hybrid structure with at least two (2) in-person days per week.
• Remaining time dedicated to remote clinical oversight, crisis consultation, onboarding review, supervision, and quality monitoring.
