PNS Clinical Research is a full-service Site Management Organization (SMO) that provides administrative and operational support to help facilitate Phase II-IV clinical trials.  We are currently looking for a full-time Clinical Research Assistant with phlebotomy certification to work at our office located in Orange. This is an entry-level position that would be suitable for a phlebotomist who is looking to enter the field of clinical research.

Under policy direction from the Practice Manager and Lead Coordinator, and with the support of the COO, the Clinical Research Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting clinical research activities, ensuring adherence to protocols, and contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge. The Clinical Research Assistant is responsible for drawing blood, performing lab tests, scheduling patients, tracking patient data and performing other clerical duties for the office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draw blood, obtain vital signs, and conduct EKGs on study subjects of all ages
  • Process, centrifuge, store, and ship lab specimens for analysis
  • Perform outbound calls to patients for scheduling, follow-up, and outreach
  • Answer inbound calls from patients
  • Schedule patient screening examinations, treatments, and laboratory visits required by the protocol 
  • Screen potential patients for protocol eligibility
  • Assist with data entry and document management across internal and external systems 
  • Track patient data for a variety of ongoing studies
  • Perform clerical duties that may include cleaning and sterilizing equipment; answering telephones; tracking inventory, shipping samples, and stocking supplies
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, organized, and safe work environment 

Skills and Qualifications:
  • California State Phlebotomy Certificate or license required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred. 
  • At least 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist preferred. 
  • Interpersonal skills to work with patients, their families/caregivers, physicians, administrators, work colleagues, representatives from sponsors, etc.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • PNS offers a competitive compensation package including; medical, dental, vision and paid time off for full time employees.
Compensation: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Our psychiatry team provides psychiatric treatments for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, from multiple offices located throughout Orange County, we do accept patients from the entire United States as well. Our psychiatrists treat a number of mental health disorders, including anxiety, stress, PTSD, bipolar, schizophrenia, dementia, depression, ADD ADHD, alcohol and chemical dependency, and more. Our Psychiatry practice was founded on the principles of treating patients with care, compassion, and understanding.
