Apply to this jobAt Franciscan, our Clinical Denials Assistant is an important when working with the Authorization Denials Team by reviewing cardiac testing denials, filing appeals, scheduling Peer to Peers, keeping patient informed of process, and following up with insurance companies. In this role you will also serve as a liaison to the cardiac providers by providing direct coordination with insurance providers for appeals and providing education and updates on insurance changes to reduce denials.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm schedule working in a busy Cardiology practice

Looking for an organized candidate with insurance experience, denial process knowledge, and a strong willingness to learn
Enjoy work life balance with consistent day shift schedule and observed holidays off work
Review and manage cardiac testing denials, including submitting appeals, coordinating peer-to-peer reviews, and partnering with insurance companies to support timely authorization decisions
Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, insurance carriers, and authorization teams, ensuring clear communication and timely updates throughout the denial and appeal process
Monitor insurance requirements and coverage changes, providing education and guidance to providers to help reduce denials and support compliance
Coordinate peer-to-peer discussions and facilitate direct communication between insurance representatives and providers to streamline approvals and minimize delays
Track and analyze denial trends, conduct audits, and provide recommendations to leadership and providers to improve authorization outcomes and reduce future denials
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Associate's Degree
Required High School Diploma/GED
Preferred 1 year Computer Experience
Preferred 1 year Medical Terminology
Preferred 1 year Insurance Claim Knowledge
