Job Description
 

The core responsibility of the data analyst role is to act as a link for client requests between the investment management teams and the global business development/sales teams, as well as other areas of the business.

Over time, the individual is expected to be responsible for/cover the following tasks:

• Evaluate data on portfolio and underlying investment level and convert into client-friendly analyses;

• Support the development of marketing materials and Request for Proposals (RFPs) across various liquid markets offerings;

• Completing scheduled and ad-hoc quantitative requests from clients, prospects clients and relationship managers;

• Develop and use knowledge of proprietary (data) systems to fulfil qualitative scheduled and ad-hoc client requests;

• Work closely with investment management, research, operations, business development, compliance and IT;

• As a dedicated specialist for data and data development, provide client services support to the business development team located globally;

• Participate in several projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data science, business, economics or finance, or related/similar field;

• Ideally 3 years+ work experience in a similar role, preferably with an international asset management firm or an investment bank, sound understanding of capital markets and financial instruments;

• Excellent MS Office skills, in particular Excel (e.g. PivotTables) Power Pivot and VBA;

• Proficiency in Bloomberg and Morningstar;

• Analytical and result oriented approach;

• Independent problem-solving skills in business and technical domain and ability to think on their feet to source data for non-standard requests;

• Self-starter and high attention to detail and accuracy;

• Fluent English and German speaker, other languages would be a plus.
