Cleaner

Job Summary:**

As a Cleaner at Arriva plc, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our vehicles, depots, and facilities to ensure a pleasant and safe environment for our employees and customers.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Clean and sanitize vehicle interiors, including seats, floors, windows, and driver's cabs, ensuring all surfaces are free from dirt, dust, and debris.
* Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
* Clean and maintain depot facilities, including offices, rest areas, and welfare facilities, following established cleaning schedules.
* Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
* Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and pressure washers.
* Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
* Adhere to all company health and safety regulations and COSHH guidelines.
* Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and presentation.
* Work effectively as part of a team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.

Job Qualifications:**

* Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably within a transport or industrial environment, is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good understanding of health and safety practices and procedures.
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
* Ability to follow instructions accurately.
* Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling tasks.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* A positive and proactive attitude.
