Job description

We are seeking focused and results orientated individuals to join our Motor Claims team to commence on Monday 24th August. This role is responsible for managing motor claims, whilst delivering exceptional member service.

Location: West Perth offices & Work from home 50% of the time upon completion of training

Working hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week

Hours: Work Monday to Friday and have weekends free! Alternate Shifts including 7am to 3pm, 8am to 4pm and 9am to 5pm

Pay: Competitive base salary + super + incentives + discounts!

Training: You’ll be set up for success with in-depth training and on the job support

What will you be doing?

  • Manage a caseload of motor claims to maximise outcomes.
  • Negotiate liability with other insurers and third parties.
  • Communicating clearly and professional, both verbally and in writing.
  • Monitoring settlement performance and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring all claims are handled in line with RAC Insurance policies, procedures, authority limits, legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a supportive team environment.
  • Deliver service that consistently exceeds member expectations.

What are we looking for in you?

  • Experience in motor claims settlements or claims handling.
  • Strong understanding of motor vehicle liability principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to make informed decisions based on evidence.
  • Empathy and professionalism when handling challenging conversations.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • A team player who actively supports and uplifts others.
  • Previous experience in the motor insurance industry (highly regarded).
  • A genuine commitment to putting members at the heart of everything you do.
