Job description

RESPEC Company, LLC, a nationally recognized engineering consulting company, is seeking an individual to provide professional engineering services as part of our office in Tampa, Florida. The candidate will be involved with all types of planning, design, and specialty services related to public and private drinking water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and stormwater projects. Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.

At a minimum, the successful candidate must have the following qualifications.

  • A bachelor of science degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering field
  • Experience with municipal and private clients in Florida
  • Approximately 15+ years of technical experience
  • Professional engineer license in Florida or ability to obtain license within 6 months of start date
  • Project experience including successful delivery of civil engineering planning studies, designs, and construction documents.

Additional preferred qualifications include the following:

  • Experience in providing engineering services in Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas, and Sarasota Counties
  • Familiarity with development and design processes that are specific to Tampa Bay Area Counties
  • Regulatory/permitting submittals and processing
  • Technical writing
  • Client interface and communications
  • Drinking water, wastewater, and/or reclaimed water design experience
  • Practical application of various hydrology/hydraulics software (e.g. ICPR, InfoWater, WaterCAD, etc.)
  • Experience in developing and guiding construction plan package preparation
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and ArcGIS.
