We’re looking for a Civil Engineer to join our growing Water team in Wellington. In this opportunity, you’ll work on projects across hydraulics, pump stations, stormwater runoff, and water management, while building your expertise alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to grow your career in water engineering, combining technical delivery, client engagement and project management.

Your day-to-day will see you:

  • Design of 3-water infrastructure projects with a focus on either “pipes and pumps.” or Stormwater network
  • Delivery and Construction Monitoring of 3-water infrastructure projects
  • Champion technical excellence to model on software such as Civil 3D, 12D, InfoWorks and HEC-HMS to deliver practical, high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborating across disciplines to provide integrated solutions for clients inclusive of participating in bids/tenders, producing high quality advice and documentation.
  • Prepare project deliverables, tender documentation, design documentation and specifications to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity.
  • Growing your technical expertise while progressing towards CPEng accreditation.

This role is ideal for an engineer with 4+ years’ experience in a similar role within engineering consultancy, who is passionate about water infrastructure and aspires to become a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Water, Environmental or Natural Resources Engineering
  • Full NZ License to be able to drive to site as and when required.
  • Demonstrated experience in 3 waters projects with a focus on detailed design.
  • Experience in site surveillance, site supervision, construction management and QA activities highly desired.
  • Demonstrated design skills in hydraulics, stormwater runoff, and pump stations.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, 12D, InfoWorks and HEC-HMS (advantage).
  • A collaborative, hands-on approach with strong communication skills.
