Chief Quantity Surveyor

The Chief Quantity Surveyor oversees all cost planning, budgeting, and commercial management for construction projects, ensuring accurate estimates, effective cost control, and compliance with contract standards. The role leads QS teams, manages procurement, evaluates variations/claims, and supports project delivery to maximize value and minimize risk.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead cost planning, estimation, and budget management for all project stages.
• Manage procurement, tender evaluations, and contract administration.
• Monitor project costs, certify payments, and assess variations and claims.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Provide commercial guidance to project teams and senior management.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and financial audits for ongoing projects.
• Supervise and mentor the quantity surveying team.

Requirements

• Certified MRICS, MSCS, PMAQS, PRQS, or MMUP
• Degree in Civil Engineer/Quantity Surveying
