Mesa Overview

Mesa is on a mission to make homeownership more affordable and rewarding. Led by a world-class team of repeat founders and fintech operators from Uber, Amex, Capital One, Cash App, and LendingTree, they are creating the homeowner membership category. Their platform gives real value back to consumers for the $8T in annual homeownership spend.

Homeowner membership offers exclusive benefits and rewards across home spend, mortgage originations, mortgage payments, HELOC, and more. Mesa is bringing credit card style membership to every financial product for your home.

The Role

As Chief of Staff, you will be the CEO’s right hand - strategically orchestrating our highest‑priority initiatives. You’ll help transform our mission into operational reality by ensuring cross‑functional execution, surfacing insights, and driving alignment across the company. You will work closely with the executive team to scale Mesa and help us make homeownership more affordable and rewarding.

How you’ll make an impact

Strategic Operations & Alignment

  • Serve as a leadership integrator - aligning the CEO and executive team on company priorities.
  • Drive cross‑functional execution of strategic initiatives from ideation through delivery.
  • Help define and roll out KPIs and OKRs for key business verticals, tracking progress and ensuring accountability.

Executive Enablement

  • Manage executive meeting cadence, priorities, and communications—including leadership offsites, Board materials, and all‑hands events.
  • Surface risks and opportunities to the CEO and executive team, enabling proactive decision‑making.

Program Management

  • Own end‑to‑end planning and execution of time‑sensitive programs: new product launches, strategic partnerships, special projects, and fundraising.
  • Partner closely with cross functional department heads to ensure execution.

Operating Rhythm & Scaling Support

  • Strengthen company operating processes as Mesa scales—from 25 to 2000+ employees.
  • Identify process gaps; propose and implement best practices that support increasingly complex operations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in high-growth startups, consulting, banking, or financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with executives and lead cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong project management and analytical mindset—comfortable with ambiguous, evolving environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication—able to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with data-driven decision-making—able to synthesize insights across functions.

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience at a fintech or fintech-adjacent company or a heavily regulated sector (e.g. housing, insurance, credit).
  • Familiarity with mortgage and/or credit card businesses.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
  • Best in class health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan
  • Unlimited vacation policy
  • Dog friendly office
