We are looking for a Chemistry intern for our R+D Department.

The main activities and responsibilities

  • Support early process development activities for chemical and biocatalytic routes.
  • Execute laboratory-scale experiments under guidance, following defined protocols.
  • Assist in reaction screening, optimization studies, and feasibility assessments.
  • Participate in biocatalytic reaction development, including enzyme screening and reaction optimization.
  • Support experiments involving free and immobilized enzymes.
  • Assist in evaluating enzyme performance (activity, stability, reusability).
  • Perform routine analytical measurements using common laboratory techniques such as: HPLC / UPLC, GC, TLC, UV/Vis.
  • Support sample preparation, method execution, and basic data interpretation.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of results in lab notebooks and/or electronic systems (ELN).
  • Contribute to technical summaries, experimental reports, and data packages.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate

  • BSc or MSc in Chemistry (or closely related field such as Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering with strong chemistry focus).
  • Basic academic exposure to: Organic chemistry, Analytical chemistry and Biochemistry or enzymology.
  • Familiarity with analytical instruments (HPLC/GC preferred).
  • Basic understanding of reaction chemistry and data interpretation.
  • Interest in biocatalysis and sustainable chemistry.
