Job description
We are looking for a Chemical Process Engineer to lead and optimize our electrolytic plating processes. The role involves supervising support teams, driving chemical consumption efficiency, improving yields, and ensuring audit readiness while leading quality improvement initiatives.

Job Description
In your new role you will:
  • Supervise plating support teams: Chemical Analysts and Haz-Mat Handlers.
  • Plan and monitor chemical consumption; drive reduction initiatives.
  • Lead projects focused on yield improvement and quality enhancement.
  • Develop and implement training plans for chemical analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee equipment and instrument buy-off and commissioning.
  • Maintain and update procedures, specifications, and related documents.
  • Ensure readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Uphold 5S standards in labs, chemical storage, and work areas.
  • Lead area cluster projects such as 6-STEPS.
  • Continuously improve and sustain process control limits, DI, and Cpk.
  • Draft purchase specifications for raw materials and new equipment.


Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in electrolytic plating processes.
  • Skills in problem-solving tools such as DOE, SPC, 8D, and JMP.
  • Proficiency in FMEA, Control Plans, and Risk Assessments.
  • A solid background in plating processes, chemical analysis, and safe handling of hazardous chemicals.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and speaking.
  • An IPC certification — this is considered a plus.
  • A Master’s degree — an advantage but not required.
