Chemical Analyst 

 
  
  

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

  • Perform routine testing and application of analytical methods for chemical and physical analysis.
  • Responsible to support the development of different high-level technical documents according to laboratory activities and needs.
  • Responsible of reporting results, data entry and reliability of the daily analyses and results according to internal procedures as well as the statistical analysis of laboratory data.
  • Support analytical transfers and new processes related to the physical chemical laboratory.
  • Support the calibration and maintenance programs for the laboratory equipment.
  • Responsible to identify deviations to procedures and report it to the supervisor.
  • Responsible to identify out of specification, out of trends results and generating documentation according to internal procedures.
  • Responsible to support root cause analysis and CAPAs implementation.
  • Responsible to coordinate activities with stakeholder.
  • Perform any additional duties upon successful completion of the required training.
  • Responsible to perform all activities according to GLP and HSE guidelines, internal procedures and others related.

 

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

 

  • Position is available for Alajuela, Costa Rica.
  • Required degree in Analytical Chemist Laboratorist.
  • 2+ years of experience in similar roles within a pharmaceutical physical-chemical laboratory.
  • Intermediate English is required: Reading and writing skills. To understand, interpret and communicate general instructions and laboratory techniques in English.
  • Knowledge in operating analytical instruments for chemical and physical test for pharmaceuticals.
  • Knowledge in analytical performance of pharmaceutical matrices and raw materials.
  • Knowledge in analytical equipment such as GC, HPLC/UPLC, FTIR, UV/Vis, Tensile machine and others.
  • Knowledge in Good Laboratory and Good Documentation practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Knowledge of SAP & validation of analytical methods is desirable.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment and to self-direct, manage technical information, work in a team environment and adapt to priority changes.
