The ideal candidate will have a passion for Japanese cuisine and an eye for detail to craft authentic and exquisite sushi dishes. Working closely with the culinary team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for discerning guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present a variety of high-quality sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, maki, and specialty rolls, adhering to authentic Japanese culinary techniques.
• Ensure freshness and quality of all sushi ingredients through careful selection and proper storage.
• Assist the Sushi Chef and culinary team with menu development and innovation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Train and supervise junior sushi kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and maintaining high standards.
• Manage inventory and order sushi ingredients as needed to prevent shortages.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie specializing in Sushi within a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
• Deep knowledge of traditional Japanese sushi preparation techniques and presentation.
• Culinary certification or relevant qualification is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and food safety.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be currently in UAE
