- Lead the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, promoting a culture of academic excellence and innovation.
- Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty members, supporting their professional growth and scholarly activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance student recruitment, retention, and success.
- Facilitate and promote research initiatives, encouraging faculty and student participation in scholarly activities.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.
- Cultivate partnerships with industry, government agencies, and other academic institutions to enhance educational and research opportunities.
Qualifications:
- An earned doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- A distinguished record of teaching, research, and service appropriate for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an academic setting, including curriculum development and faculty supervision.
- Experience with accreditation processes and standards, particularly ABET accreditation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster a collaborative and collegial environment among faculty, staff, and students.
