Job description

Imagine what you could accomplish at Apple. In an environment where innovation and operational excellence thrive, we're seeking a highly organized, strategic thinker to lead capacity planning, program management, and supply chain intelligence for the AMR Logistics Operations team. This role sits at the intersection of logistics tracks and owns strategic and tactical planning across distribution centers and transportation networks, transforming complex datasets into business insights with creativity, technical skill, and strategic focus.

Description

You will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless and efficient movement of products and materials across the Americas region, owning capacity decisions across AMR distribution centers and transportation networks. Using forecasting, scenario modeling, and operational analysis, you will craft sophisticated models and interactive dashboards that drive informed, proactive decision-making — improving service, cost, and throughput performance, and applying strong program management skills to drive logistics readiness planning from strategy through execution.

This role influences volume forecasting and transportation alignment to balance service, cost, and operational efficiency, while managing program budget, timelines, resources, and deliverables. You will partner with stakeholders across supply chain, operations, and sales to understand requirements, evaluate BAU and NPI demand signals, apply analytics to uncover insights, and translate forecasts into actionable capacity plans that ensure alignment and effective execution.

You will also build automation that improves team efficiency, monitor KPIs to identify improvement opportunities, and simplify processes and standardize cadences to improve planning quality and speed. Proactively identifying risks and issues, you will develop contingency and mitigation plans that protect network performance.

Success in this role requires strong analytical judgment, structured problem-solving, and strategic leadership — the ability to turn complex data into clear operational decisions, facilitate projects, and communicate findings in relatable terms that highlight business impact and guide strategic choices for senior leadership. You will navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while mentoring a team of logistics professionals.

5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, capacity planning, logistics operations, program management, or a related analytical role in a high-volume, complex network
Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous operational problems, build analytical models, and translate outputs into decisions
Strong experience in headcount modeling, volume forecasting, production/capacity planning, and transportation alignment
Experience building forecasting models, scenario analyses, and dashboards that support proactive decision-making
Fluency with analytical tools and BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent)
Proven track record managing complex logistics operations and programs
Strong executive communication and leadership skills, including presenting assumptions, scenarios, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional partners
Ability to drive decisions in a fast-paced environment; resilient and adaptable, thriving in ambiguity and high-pressure settings

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree (MS or MBA) preferred
Experience planning for both BAU and NPI demand in a dynamic supply chain environment
Collaboration with 3PL partners, carriers, and internal stakeholders to optimize network performance
Automation, process improvement, and continuous improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent)
Experience with AI-assisted tools (LLMs, GenAI assistants) to accelerate analysis and reporting
Influencing and driving strategic change in a fast-paced, matrix-ed organization
