KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Handle dealing transactions in equities instruments for the equity funds.
• Ensure all orders for Malaysian securities trades are executed promptly and efficiently by the brokers.
• Actively monitor market conditions to make informed trade execution decisions.
• Monitor and manage trade execution risks of all trades for the equity funds on daily basis.
• To make sure that best price is obtained, and all executed trades are confirmed and booked through systems authorized for use by the company.
• Ensure trades comply with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.
• Ensure that all IPO, placement and secondary placement trades are prorated among the funds through systems authorized for use by the company and questionable trades are resolved and reported immediately.
• Evaluate the quality of brokers and ensure that brokers’ commissions turnover is within the stipulated limits.
• As checker for Fixed income and Multi-asset orders and record-keeping for Fixed income orders.
• To undertake & explore Direct Market Access (DMA) to provide greater control over orders, i.e. to reduce human error and improve execution speed & efficiency.
• To generate monthly transaction cost analysis (TCA) report for trade efficiency & effectiveness again VWAP and to monitor trade performance.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

• Preferably a degree in related areas (i.e. Investment, Accountancy, Business Economics, Finance, etc.).

Experience                        

• Minimum 3 years as a dealer either at a broking firm or a fund management outfit

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

• Familiar with the KLSE listed companies, trading system and platforms e.g. Bloomberg terminal, algorithmic trading strategies.
• Understanding stock markets, pricing mechanisms and trading strategies for equities.
• Ability to analyze market data and identify trends and make decision based on quantitative and technical indicators. Communication skills for effective coordination with internal and external.
