Want your chance to make a mark on a world-class, record-breaking event? We are hiring for two Catering Operations Coordinators to join our Product Operations team and help deliver the Australian Open 2027. These are full-time fixed-term contracts through to February 2027.

About the role 

As a Catering Operations Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of food and dining experiences across the Australian Open. Working closely with the Catering Operations Lead, food vendors, dining partners and internal stakeholders, you'll help ensure catering operations run smoothly across patron, player, workforce and media/broadcast environments. 
 

In this role you will be responsible for: 

• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of catering operations across Australian Open venues, restaurants, food vendors and workforce dining areas. 
• Coordinating vendor requirements, compliance documentation, accreditation, site access and operational readiness activities throughout the event lifecycle. 
• Building strong relationships with food vendors, contractors and key stakeholders to support successful event delivery and guest experiences. 
• Assisting with catering logistics including kitchen requirements, POS implementation, inductions, reporting, bump-in and bump-out activities. 
• Supporting daily tournament operations by liaising with vendors, monitoring operational requirements and contributing to continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives. 

 
About you 

To be successful in this role you will: 

• Have experience working within large-scale catering, hospitality, major events or sporting event environments. 
• Possess a strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including both front and back-of-house delivery. 
• Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
• Have strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with vendors, suppliers and internal teams. 
• Demonstrate sound judgement, strong problem-solving capability and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel. 
• Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
