Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek. Receives patients at clinic reception area. Performs general clerical duties. Under general supervision, performs chemical analysis on blood samples and blood gases of cardiac catheterization patients. Monitors EKG and pressure recordings of patients during procedures. Maintains appropriate logs related to procedures. Performs related duties. Under direct supervision of the physician and RN, prepares patients, assembles, and operates hemodynamic and electrophysiology equipment during interventional and diagnostic procedures. Continuously monitors vital signs, EKG, and pressure recordings. Analyses inter-cardiac electrogram and reports results. Performs direct and indirect patient care. Maintains appropriate documentation. Performs other duties as related to the daily operation of the cardiac catheterization laboratory. RCIS (registered cardiovascular invasive specialist) and / or RCS (registered cardiac electrophysiology specialist) and/or IBHRE (international board of heart rhythm examiners) certification preferred at hire or within 2 years of employment. Licensed Clinical laboratory technologist preferred. Education Bachelor's degree preferred. High School Diploma required.
