Job description
Job Summary:
Responsible for the pre- and post care of patients undergoing invasive and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac cath lab and the angiography suite. Other responsibilities include patient and family education and performance improvement initiatives as determined by leadership.
Education
⚬ Minimum:
Graduate of a Registered Nurse program
⚬ Preferred:
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
Current PA RN license, Healthcare Provider CPR, and ACLS
Experience
⚬ Minimum:
Two years telemetry, critical care, or emergency room experience.
⚬ Preferred:
Competency in managing IABP and ventilators.
A strong understanding of post-operative care protocols
Other Requirements:
Excellent communication and organizational skills, high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor
