The role

The Capital Delivery Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the delivery of capital infrastructure projects across Vector’s electricity network.

Over the course of a full-time, ten-week placement, this role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, from design reviews, on-site monitoring and inspections, through to final commissioning. You’ll rotate across design, delivery, commercial and operational environments, contribute to real projects, and complete a defined deliverable with regular mentoring and support.

Who are we looking for?

  • You’ll be in your third or final year of a Civil or Electrical Engineering degree, with a strong interest in infrastructure delivery and electricity networks
  • You’re practical and proactive, comfortable taking initiative, owning tasks and contributing to projects and deliverables
  • You bring strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability and attention to detail, with a focus on producing high-quality work
  • You work well independently and collaboratively, and can build effective relationships with peers, project teams and other stakeholders
  • You’re curious, eager to learn and communicate clearly, with the confidence to ask questions, seek feedback and grow your knowledge.

Interviews will be held as applications are received, so apply today!

We love a quirky cover letter that highlights your passion. A warning that large language models will compress that beautiful personality of yours into the generic average output of all of humanity, and we’re not in the market to hire an average intern.

If you’re excited by this opportunity but don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway. Your enthusiasm, potential, and unique perspective could be just what we’re looking for.

Vector values diversity in all its forms and welcomes people of all backgrounds, experiences, identities, and abilities to be part of our team.
