Cans Front End Mechanic

Job Description:

Job Summary:**

The Cans Front End Mechanic at CROWN Bevcan France SAS is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimal functioning of machinery in the front end of the can manufacturing process, ensuring efficient production and quality control.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Perform routine preventative maintenance on front-end canning machinery, including but not limited to presses, cupping, bodymakers, and trimmers.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.
* Execute repairs and replace defective parts, including rebuilding components as necessary.
* Conduct machine adjustments and set-ups to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
* Monitor machine performance and identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns.
* Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.

Job Qualifications:**

* Vocational diploma or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
* Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the metal packaging or high-speed production industry.
* Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
* Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
* Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by production schedules.
* Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in industrial maintenance.
