Cans Deco & BE Team Leader

Job Description:

Job Summary**

Lead and supervise the Cans Decoration (Deco) and Base End (BE) production teams, ensuring efficient operation, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards within CROWN Bevcan Slovakia s.r.o.

Job Responsibilities**

* Supervise, train, and motivate a team of Deco and BE operators and technicians to achieve production targets and quality standards.
* Monitor production processes for Deco and BE lines, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
* Implement and enforce all safety procedures and regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
* Conduct regular quality checks on decorated cans and base ends, ensuring products meet specifications.
* Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on Deco and BE machinery.
* Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to address complex equipment failures.
* Manage shift schedules, attendance, and performance evaluations for team members.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within Deco and BE operations.
* Maintain accurate production records, reports, and inventory of materials.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications**

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the can-making or packaging industry.
* Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
* Strong technical understanding of decoration processes (e.g., printing, coating) and/or base end forming operations.
* Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues effectively.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong commitment to safety and quality.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in English; knowledge of Slovak is a strong advantage.
* Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
* Relevant technical degree or vocational training is preferred.
