Job Description:

The Norfolk Veterans' Home is gearing up for our next C.N.A training class! If you are passionate about caring for others and you're looking to further your career, you have come to the right place! Incumbents for this position will be understaffed as Staff Care Technician I while in training. Once the certification process is successfully completed they will be transitioned to Staff Care Technician II. Pay Rate for Staff Care Tech I: $17.543/hour plus $3 differential- $20.543/hr. Pay Rate for Staff Care Tech II: $21.149/hour plus $3 differential- $24.149/hr. This course will begin September 29th through October 17th. This will be an all day course (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) Testing for certification will follow successful completion of the course.

Full-Time & Part-Time employment after course completion: 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., or 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. with every other weekend rotation.


 

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Staff Care Technician I: Be at least 18 years of age.

Staff Care Technician II: Be at least 18 years of age, completed a state approved 76-hour nurse aide training course and competency evaluation program, and be listed on the Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry.


 

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and push/pull occasionally up to 75 lbs. on a daily basis. Ability to frequently bend at the waist and neck and frequently twist at the waist and walk or stand up to 90% of the shift. Ability to interact with members and others in a positive manner and be flexible to meet changing demands of the job.
