Title : C# Developer

Location : Newark, NJ

Contract : 3 to 6 month with possible extensions

Job Description

  • Design implementation of classes and methods in C# according to provided specifications and guidance.
  • Research functionality and implementation details from business requirements and existing C++ model.
  • Write clear and maintainable C# code and software documentation.
  • Design test plans and unit test the code.
  • Provide accurate and insightful model validation.
  • Be an active participant in company’s actuarial community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in a quantitative or financial field such as Actuarial Science, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, etc.
  • Strong programming skills including C++, C# are required.
  • 1-2 years of actuarial experience (financial modeling, product development, pricing, valuation, GAAP/Stat reporting, asset-adequacy testing, asset/investment/hedging/risk modeling, etc)
  • Society of Actuaries Exams P, FM and MLC Preferred;
  • Good technical skills and ability to understand complex quantitative concepts and models.
  • Good communication skills, particularly in presenting results to audience of diversified backgrounds.
  • Highly motivated and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with high quality standards.

Strong programming skills including C++, C# are required.
