Buyer

El Regio Distribution Center is seeking an experienced Buyer in our Grand Prairie, TX corporate offices. The Buyer will evaluate bids and pricing to maintain a competitive advantage within the company’s marketplace while focusing on negotiating the best price from suppliers, vendors, and service providers.

Responsibilities:

• Purchases materials supplies and any additional services by negotiating the best price.
• Qualifies vendors, examine quotes or bids, and negotiates price and terms for purchase of goods or services.
• Performs data entry of all purchase orders.
• Sends, tracks, and monitors all purchase orders to vendors or customers for quality and maintains a current database of all vendor information.
• Assist other departments when required.
• Reviews requisitions.
• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.
• Receives and contacts vendors to find out status of orders.
• Contacts vendors with discrepancies with quantity and quality.
• Interfaces with all departments and resolves problems and issues as necessary.
• Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
• Develop spreadsheets or tables in Excel.

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years working as a Buyer.
• 2 to 5 years of Excel.
• Ability to develop tables and spreadsheets.
• Warehouse inventory management software.
• Familiarity with NetSuite.
• Experience with RF Smart or other is a plus.
