Open Position: Shipping Agency General Manager (part of Adriatic Cluster)

MISSION:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead our Shipping Agency operations in Rijeka, Croatia.

This role is integral in representing the interests of the Carrier, promoting the Group's image, and ensuring the successful execution of sales and customer service strategies within the designated country.

The Agency General Manager will report directly to the Cluster General Manager and serve as the local point of contact for Cluster Functional Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

•         Financial Management: Prepare and execute financial forecasts in collaboration with the Cluster CFO.

•         Business Development: Monitor the market for new opportunities and develop direct relationships with key customers.

•         Sales Leadership: Define and monitor performance targets for the commercial team to achieve strategic objectives.

•         Team Management: Oversee the local workforce, ensuring compliance with labor regulations and Group HR policies.

•         Internal Control & Compliance: Implement internal audit recommendations and report any suspected fraud to relevant authorities.

•         Government and Institutional Liaison: Represent the Group with local authorities and government bodies as required.

Candidate Profile:

•         Strong leadership and organizational skills.

•         At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role, shipping – logistics sector

•         Proven experience in commercial management and business development.

•         Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

•         Comprehensive understanding of financial and operational processes.

•         Croatian native speaker.
