This position will play an important role in enabling digital transformation and automation of most, if not all, of the City’s administrative processes, which are largely manual, and paper based. </p><p>We are looking for a candidate who is excited to be part of the City’s Digital Work force efforts. Key duties include but not limited to:</p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Participating in product discovery, leading requirement gathering and/or meetings and managing stakeholder expectations, assisting process owners in documenting business requirements and functional product specifications.</li><li>Leading the efforts to develop training and/or user education materials and strategies.</li><li>Assisting in managing scope, issues, and customer expectations for assigned projects. </li><li>Designing and building workflow automations, including prototyping, unit testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment.</li><li>Developing and providing technical support for end-users and workflow designers on the City’s business process automation technologies.</li><li>Gaining an understanding of software applications used and supported by the City to manage and maintain them.</li><li>Liaising with software suppliers on the development of system enhancements to overcome known problems or further fulfill user requirements. </li><li>Assisting in the planning and implementation of in-house and vendor assisted software upgrades, conversions, release testing, and resolving production support problems to ensure system and data integrity. </li><li>Designing and maintaining database objects (tables, views, function, stored procedures and packages, etc.) to support application functionality. </li><li>Develop reports using SQL Server Reporting services. </li><li>Communicating effectively orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audience. </li></ul><p>Education: A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in <span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Technology, or a closely related field.</span></p><p>Experience: Three (3)years of increasingly progressive experience in computer systems applications programming.</p><p>Acceptable Substitutions: Additional years of directly related work experience may be substituted for up to a maximum of two years of the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.</p><p>Competencies</p><p>The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies, as demonstrated in past and current employment history.
