Job description

We are looking for a Business Studies Teacher for an international school based in Shanghai. This position is available from the upcoming 2026/27 academic year in August 2026.

Job responsibilities

  • Teach BTEC Business Studies to secondary school students
  • Prepare lessons, lectures, assignments, assessments, and report comments in line with BTEC requirements
  • Support students in developing practical business knowledge, including marketing, finance, management, entrepreneurship, and business operations
  • Guide students through coursework, projects, case studies, and other assignment-based assessments
  • Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators and contribute to the development and enhancement of the school’s business curriculum
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide clear targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
  • Develop supportive and safe learning environments

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher status with 3–5 years of teaching experience
  • Experience teaching BTEC Business Studies, A-Level Business, IGCSE Business Studies, or a related business/economics curriculum
  • Good understanding of UK and international business curricula and assessment methods
  • Ability to support students with coursework, project-based learning, and applied business assignments
  • Proficiency in addressing individual needs through differentiated instruction and diverse learning strategies
