Business Intelligence Analyst Engineer

Background

Current opening for experience Business Intelligence Engineers to join an international organization with Head Quarters in Europe. The team manages reporting and analytics, takes care of the underlying data warehouse, the data load process (ETL), and the exploitation of this information. BI Engineers are expected to cover the full range of duties from capturing business needs, identifying the potential value of existing BI services, building and extending ETL, the data warehouse, and the reporting and dashboarding solutions that make use of it.

Key Accountabilities

• Gather business needs - the "question behind the question"
• Design efficient BI reports, to visualize and summarize key insights and KPIs for business partners.
• Learn the functional meaning of Sales, Financial and Operational Data and the business process behind these data. Become a Business Data Partner.
• Understand BI Architecture, build and sustain, and standardize solutions.
• Responsible for End-to-End solutions. Maintain, Adapt, and Implement the Technical ETL part of the business.
• Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize BI report generation processes.
• Ensure structured documentation of all software solutions and procedures.

Expectations, Experience & Knowledge

• Hold a master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, IT, or equivalent by experience.
• Be Data savvy and be able to picture connections between business reality and resulting data trails, to interpret and understand deeper needs behind Business questions and convey these into requirements.
• Experience with tools such as Tableau, Cognos, etc... but equally important is your personal drive, logical reasoning, analytical mindset, and your willingness to constructively challenge the options of your colleagues.
