Job Description

Job Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategies to expand UOB Malaysia's client base and increase revenue within the assigned market segment. This role focuses on driving new business opportunities and fostering strong client relationships.

Job Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and target potential new corporate and institutional clients
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, converting them into active business relationships through effective networking, presentations, and proposal submissions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product specialists, relationship managers, and credit teams, to develop tailored financial solutions that meet the specific needs of prospective clients.
  • Build and nurture long-term strategic relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
  • Prepare comprehensive business proposals, presentations, and financial models to effectively communicate value propositions to potential clients.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and revenue objectives.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market insights to senior management.


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the banking or financial services sector, preferably with a focus on corporate or institutional clients.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully acquiring new business and achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • A strong network within the Malaysian corporate or institutional landscape is highly advantageous.
