We're looking for a passionate and driven Business Development Manager – Golf & Sporting Groups to join the team at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort, home to one of Australia's most iconic golf courses.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for golf and a proven sales background to drive business growth across Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort and Elysia Wellness Retreat. You'll focus on developing new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and positioning our properties as leading destinations for golf and sporting group experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow golf and sporting group business.
  • Identify and build relationships with key clients across golf clubs, sporting organisations, schools, and leisure travel markets.
  • Generate new business through proactive sales activity, networking, and tailored proposals.
  • Collaborate with resort operations, events, revenue, and marketing teams to deliver exceptional group experiences.
  • Represent the properties at industry events, trade shows, and golf tournaments.
  • Conduct client meetings and site inspections while maintaining accurate CRM records and sales reporting.
  • Build strategic partnerships with tourism and sporting organisations to drive group bookings and revenue.
  • 2-4 years' experience in business development or sales, ideally within the golf, hospitality, tourism, or sporting industries.
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing key accounts.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  • A professional presentation and genuine enthusiasm for golf and sporting events.
