Business & Data Analyst - Requirements & Process Design

Overview:

The Business & Data Analyst bridges business stakeholders and the tech team. This role gathers requirements, designs store processes, defines KPIs, and ensures data-driven decision-making within StoreOps systems.

Responsibilities:

Business Requirements & Process Design

• Engage store operations, supply chain, finance, and merchandising teams.
• Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Map AS-IS and TO-BE processes.
• Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Define workflows for inventory, replenishment, billing, returns, promotions.
  

Data & Analytics

• Define data requirements and reporting structures.
• Create data dictionaries and KPI definitions.
• Design dashboards and store performance metrics.
• Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support data validation and UAT testing.
  

Stakeholder & Product Support

• Prioritize backlog with Product Owner.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Support sprint planning and UAT coordination.
• Ensure traceability from requirements to delivery.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in business analysis, preferably in retail or store operations.
• Strong knowledge of retail KPIs (sell-through, shrinkage, stock turnover).
• Experience with SQL and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau/Looker).
• Process mapping tools (Visio, Miro, Lucidchart).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
