CommBank’s Small Business Banking (SBB) team is looking for a Business Banker, who will be dedicated to helping Australian small businesses thrive. In this role, you’ll deliver exceptional service to Small Business customers by understanding their unique needs and providing end-to-end support.

SBB serves the small business customers of Australia. We are a national team supporting over 800,000 small business owners across Australia. We have business bankers in branch (BBiB) as well as central teams available to assist our customers. Our team also comprises of the Broker and Agency Sales team as well as dedicated Business Home Lending specialist supporting the needs of Business Bank.
 

Your Role.

As a Branch Based Small Business Banker, you’ll be the trusted advisor for small business customers. You’ll provide end-to-end support, from understanding their goals to delivering solutions that help them succeed. 
 

You'll drive business development in your local community, building strong client relationships through exceptional service while representing CommBank at local events and networking opportunities.
 

What you’ll do:

• Build meaningful customer relationships and provide tailored financial solutions.

• Originate business lending up to $1.5M, plus asset finance, merchant facilities, and everyday banking.

• Support customers with both business and personal needs, including identifying home lending needs.

• Act as a brand ambassador in your community, hosting education events and building referral partnerships. 
   

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in commercial lending

• Strong lending experience and financial analysis skills

• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities

• FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation and CAA Level 2 (or willingness to obtain)

• Passion for supporting small businesses and your local community.
