Business Analyst – Azure / ServiceNow Two-Way synchronization (Freelance)

We are seeking a temporary Business Analyst to define, align, and translate requirements for a two-way synchronization between Azure DevOps and ServiceNow. The assignment is focused on requirements and tradeoffs. Different stakeholders have legitimate, but sometimes competing, priorities. The main challenge is to identify the trade-offs between these priorities, make them explicit, and support stakeholders in reaching clear, documented decisions. The Analyst will then work with architects & Tech Leads to turn these decisions into a coherent final solution design.

You will bring together requirements, process considerations, technical constraints, and outstanding decisions into a clear and implementable design for the integration between Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.

You will work with various stakeholders including:

• The Azure DevOps Product Owner, who needs a scalable solution that can be adopted by the enterprise organization
• The ServiceNow Product Owner, who needs ServiceNow to keep performing and be the system of record
• The ITSM Business Process Manager, who needs ticket handling to remain compliant with agreed ITSM processes
• The business, which needs a simple, reliable solution with minimal administrative effort
• Architects and tech leads, who will use the agreed requirements, trade-offs, and constraints to develop and validate the final solution design

What you are going to do

At NN, integrating Azure DevOps and ServiceNow is an important step in improving collaboration between solution delivery and IT service management. You will play a vital role in documenting a solution design that fits the needs of relevant stakeholders. You can make sure that stakeholders feel heard, while keeping in mind constraints from a technical and security perspective. Your impact is huge, as the proposed solution will be used across NN Group. As the Business Analyst, you will define and align requirements, facilitate decision-making, and develop a solution design with help of architects and tech leads.

Other responsibilities include:

• Lead requirements gathering workshops with business and technical stakeholders
• Analyse and document current and future-state processes involving Azure DevOps and ServiceNow
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and decision-making
• Manage project scope, risks, dependencies, timelines, and governance
• Coordinate activities between architects, developers, platform owners, and service management teams
• Ensure key decisions, requirements, and project outcomes are properly documented
• Drive communication and reporting throughout the project lifecycle

Who you are

We are looking for a Business Analyst with a couple of years of experience in intelligent automation preferably with a consultancy background. We are looking for someone who is proactive, a self-starter and has analytical and problem solving skills.

• You have a Bachelor or Master in (Business) Information Management or similar
• You have  experience in business analysis, process analysis or similar in the field of Intelligent Process Automation. Preferably you have experience with:
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • ServiceNow
  • BPMN/Process modelling tools
• You have affinity with automation and are seasoned in Agile ways of working
• You have a natural tendency to be an entrepreneur, a self-starter and to challenge the status quo. you are eager to work with and adapt to different cultures
• You are a great communicator
• Professional proficiency in both Dutch and English, as you will collaborate with Dutch-speaking business teams as well as international stakeholders
• You are a creative thinker and have a hands-on mentality that gets things done
