Bus Person - Freedom Beat

POSITION SUMMARY:

It is the primary responsibility of the Bus Person to assist in maintaining a clean and efficient dining environment. The Bus Person is responsible for ensuring tables are promptly cleared and reset, providing timely support to servers, and assisting in maintaining adequate stock levels of required supplies.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Welcome all guests by greeting guests courteously and consistently.
• Clear and cleans tables to ensure the table is ready for the next guest and transport bus trays to the back of the house for cleaning.
• Reset tables with silverware and napkins.
• Set condiments according to table set up.
• Pre-bus tables while guests are in service, clear away dirty and unwanted dishes from the tables.
• Replenish wares inside the station.
• Clean and maintain beverage equipment.
• Clean front of the house areas.
• Clean assigned sections at the end of shift.
• Assist server with delivery of food.
• Provide enthusiastic, outstanding guest service at all times.
• Maintains knowledge of various hotel outlets, hours of operation, and safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ensure guest satisfaction through responsiveness to guest needs.
• Maintain a well-groomed neat and clean appearance, carrying out duties with attention to sanitation safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months previous experience.
• Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and handle frequent interruptions.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
• Must be able to comprehend all information and documentation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Ability to work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke.
• Follow all safety procedures as established by the company.
