<p style="margin: 0">Serve as Building Maintenance Technician, responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. &nbsp; This position assists with routine repairs, preventative maintenance, custodial duties, and general facility operations to ensure a safe, clean, and functioning environment.</p><p style="margin: 0"><strong><u>MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:</u></strong></p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">This is not an attempt to list all work operations of this job position. &nbsp;Duties generally include, but are not limited to the following:</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">1.&nbsp; Performs light building maintenance and minor repairs, including carpentry, patching and painting walls, replacing ceiling tiles and lightbulbs, unclogging drains, assembling and repairing furniture and other similar duties.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">2.&nbsp; Monitors general condition of buildings, facilities and equipment and notifies Supervisor of items needing repair or replacement.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">3.&nbsp; Support preventative maintenance programs and inspections.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">4.&nbsp; Assist with grounds maintenance, including snow removal, ice reduction, shoveling and salting at City facilities.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">5.&nbsp; Set up and tear down rooms for meetings, events and activities.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">6.&nbsp; Monitor facilities for safety hazards and report maintenance issues.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">7.&nbsp; Assist with moving furniture, equipment and materials.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">8.&nbsp; Operate and maintain maintenance tools and equipment.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">9.&nbsp; Assist with Election equipment deliveries and election polling place set up and tear down.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">10.&nbsp; Assist with custodial duties such as cleaning, trash removal, and restocking supplies.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong><u>POSITION EXPECTATIONS/REQUIREMENTS</u></strong>:</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">1.&nbsp; Basic knowledge of building maintenance practices and tools.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">2.&nbsp; Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">3.&nbsp; Follow all safety procedures and regulations.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">4.&nbsp; Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">5.&nbsp; text-indent: -0.5in">1. &nbsp;High School Diploma or equivalent.<br><br></p><p style="margin: 0 0 0 0.5in; text-indent: -0.5in">2. &nbsp;One (1) year employment experience in facilities maintenance, custodial work, or related field.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong><u>OTHER PREREQUISITES</u></strong>:</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">1.&nbsp; Specific Qualifier/Test(s):</p><ul style="margin-left: 0.25in; margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Pre-employment drug screen prior to starting employment.</li><li>Able to meet standard background and criminal check.</li><li>Valid and unrestricted Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.</li><li>Ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor:<ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>&nbsp;
