Job Description:

Repairs, calibrates, and maintains a variety of biomedical equipment, devices, instruments, and medical systems. Inspects, installs, and performs inventory assessments and preventive maintenance of clinical equipment. Responds to service requests and completes maintenance inspections. Will record medical device repair and maintenance history in CMMS database.

Provides on-site service for medical equipment in the facility. Participates in the development of departmental and entity performance improvement programs. Maximizes patient safety by supporting proper use, application, and operational performance of medical equipment.

Education Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

  • Associates degree required with a preference in biomedical or electronics program

OR

  • 1 year of experience with repair and maintenance of equipment

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency
